Rodger spent the fall 2006 photographing Governor Deval Partick’s campaign and created a large body of work that can be seen on his website: http://rpkphoto.smugmug.com Selected photographs were shown this spring a at the Panopticon Gallery in Boston, and in early July we went to the Governor’s office to give him one of the prints. Recently Rodger published a limited edition book of his photographs titled New American Photographs. Details are on his website.
I have started to do some writing and have taken several classes in fiction and nonfiction at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. Over the last three years I have also become an avid Red Sox fan. Of course it helps to win a couple of world series!
Mom did quite well this summer, and with the purchase of a transport wheelchair Diana and I were able to take her on outings around Boston. The weather was very cooperative! Her friend Mary Barton and her daughter Nancy came to visit in June on their annual visit east.
Toby and Dani bought a condo and they are both busy working and taking courses for advanced degrees. (See condo photos and Toby’s drawings below)
It was a quiet summer for Rodger and me. We did take a couple of museum outings and spent three days in New Hampshire with friends. Labor Day came quickly, and now I am fully into my teaching year.
